Glen Edward Grimmett, affectionately known as “Eddie,” passed away peacefully at his home in Tuckahoe, on Apr. 28, 2026, at the age of 78, following an extended illness. Born on February 24, 1948, in White Sulphur Springs, Eddie was a devoted and Godly man whose presence touched the lives of many.

A proud graduate of White Sulphur Springs High School, class of 1966, Eddie built a respected career working in HVAC at The Greenbrier, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Among his cherished roles, he held the position of head chef at the Tuckahoe Hunt Camp, a testament to his skill and passion that brought joy to many.

Eddie loved to hunt, a hobby that connected him deeply to the outdoors and to his community. His warmth and generosity were known widely, and his faith was a cornerstone of his character.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janice Erwin Grimmett; their son, Paco Grimmett and his wife Jessi; and grandchildren James Allen Williams, Mason Williams, and Oliver Williams. Eddie also leaves behind his sister Betty Jane Cookendorfer and her husband Mike, along with a special nephew, Larry Spence and Sheena, several other nieces and nephews, and countless cherished friends who held him dear.

Eddie’s family mourns the loss of his beloved parents, Emmett and Mabel Grimmett; his daughter, Catherine Grimmett; sisters Emma Lorene Grimmett, Madge Lewis, Dorothy Page Grimmett, and Ruth Helen Grimmett; as well as his brothers Emmett Junior Grimmett and William Ronald Grimmett.

Visitation will be held on May 4, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Family, friends, and all who knew Eddie are invited to attend and celebrate his remarkable life. Burial will follow the service in the McCreery Cemetery, Tuckahoe Road, White Sulphur Springs, WV.

Glen Edward Grimmett lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and love. His legacy remains in the hearts of those who knew him and the community he served so faithfully. He will be remembered with respect and affection for the Godly man he was and the profound impact he made during his years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Patriots Motorcycle Club Christmas Fund, 116 Price Street, Alderson, WV 24910.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
