The flowering of the cross represents the transition from Good Friday to Easter – from meditation on Jesus’ death to joyful celebration of His resurrection.
The Lewisburg United Methodist Church has constructed the Flowering Crosses for several years as one of the symbols of Easter.
Lewisburg United Methodist Church would like to express their gratitude to Kroger for providing all the flowers for our sanctuary cross and the outdoor cross at the corner of Washington and Lee Streets.
The church hopes the public will enjoy the Flowering Crosses and remember the cross as an emblem of Jesus’ resurrection and His enduring presence.
