“Stars, Stripes and Summer Nights” is the theme for this year’s Williamsburg Community Fair. On Thursday evening, exhibits including food, photos, flowers, paintings, quilts, vegetables, eggs, and more may be registered from 5 to 7 p.m. at the community building. For a complete list of exhibit categories, visit the WilliamsburgWV Facebook events page. There is no fee or preregistration to enter exhibits.

On Friday evening from 5:30 to 8 p.m., enjoy hot dogs, BBQ, hamburgers, baked beans, and bingo from 5:30 to 7:30 for just $1 per game. Winners receive half of the fees collected for each game. Daubers will be available for $1, or you may bring your own. Browse the exhibits, then bring a chair and enjoy Buddy Allen and the Cheat River Band at the firehouse from 7:30 to 9:30.

Start Saturday with breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and more. Then visit the Thrift Shop in the old schoolhouse from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for a $1 bag clothing sale. Afterward, step outside to watch the parade, which begins at 10:30. Following the parade, enjoy lunch at the concession stand in the community building, view exhibits and health screenings, check out the vintage and hot rod cruise-in car show, visit kid-friendly activity stations, face painting, balloon animals, make crafts, jump in the bouncy house, and enjoy cotton candy, Dippin’ Dots, popcorn, and snow cones. You can also join the horseshoe and cornhole tournaments. A kids’ paint party led by Sandy Schmocker will take place from 2 to 2:45 and is limited to 20 participants. Organized games for all ages will run from 2:45 to 3:15, followed by a fire truck splash. Please bring towels and extra clothes.

Outdoor entertainment under the tent will make for a great afternoon. Bring a chair, relax, and enjoy Richard Hefner and the Black Mountain Bluegrass Boys from 12:30 to 1:30, The Announcers inside from 1:30 to 2:30, and Nathan Seldomridge from 2:30 to 4:00 at a location to be announced.

Saturday evening, enjoy bingo again from 4 to 6 p.m., along with a ham dinner with brown beans, cornbread/cornpone and dessert from 4 to 7. A dance concert featuring music by the Goodson Boys begins at 7 p.m. in the firehouse bay. The night will end with fireworks at 9:30.

For the full schedule and event details, visit the WilliamsburgWV Facebook events page. The fair will be held at 6571 Shoestring Trail, Williamsburg, WV. The event is sponsored by Williamsburg Community Action, the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department, and the Williamsburg Ruritan Club, with special thanks to an Arts and Recreation grant from the Greenbrier County commission.
