In 1965, two coed roommates, recently graduated from Ohio University, met and married two Ohio grads who lived together and were young teachers.
Ruth Miller and Tom Iles and Cecelia Heller and John Nelson were married in August 1965.
Ruth and Tom and Cecelia and John recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversaries with dinner and their perpetual euchre card game where both the men and women declare themselves as champions.
All four completed careers in classroom teaching, coaching, school administration and college instruction totaling 140 cumulative years in public education.
Now, seven children and seven grandchildren make their lives complete.
