The WVU Extension Service will conduct the Group Lifestyle Balance Class beginning Monday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Greenbrier County WVU Extension Office.
The Group Lifestyle Balance Program is based on the Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle change program. In the program, you will learn the facts about healthy eating and being active and learn what makes it difficult for individuals to eat healthy and be active.
Lifestyle balance goals include losing 7 percent of your weight through healthy eating and participating in physical activity each week. Goals will be reached by making gradual, healthy and reasonable changes in eating and physical activity.
The class is free but registration is required. The Lifestyle Balance class will meet once a week for 12 weeks followed by bi-monthly classes for one year. To register, please call Kay Davis or Mary Dameron at the Greenbrier County WVU Extension Service at 304-647-7408.
