Greenbrier Valley Theatre (GVT), the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, is proud to host the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra on Mar. 26, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for general admission, $13 for seniors and $10 for children/students. The WVJO will be hosting West Virginia native musician Jeff Curry.
Curry is most well-known for his abilities on the bass. For the past several years he has lived in Japan performing with such acts as Crystal Kay, Thelma Koyanagi, Jill Decoy Association and Hakuei Kim. He founded the band “The Outer Rim,” and played at the Tokyo Jazz Festival, as well as many other festivals around the world.
The concert will feature four of Curry’s original charts: “All Through the Years,” “Born of Fire,” “For Jehter” and “The Beauty Fool.”
This program is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Culture & History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
