Iconic Almost Heaven brand made available to local artists and businesses
The West Virginia Department of Tourism has announced the launch of the new Almost Heaven Brand Licensing Program, a new initiative designed to expand the reach of the beloved tourism brand. In an effort to continue the momentum of the successful campaign, the Department of Tourism is offering licensed use of the “West Virginia” logo, “WV” icon, “Almost Heaven” script, “Country Roads” script, and the esteemed wooden swings for local consumer goods, including apparel, accessories, and specialty merchandise.
“I’m incredibly proud of the Almost Heaven brand and thrilled to see it continue to grow,” said West Virginia Department of Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby. “We’ve seen a growing number of requests from small businesses eager to feature our brand on their products, and I’m excited to help make that possible. Thank you to all of our local artists and business owners who help us share what sets Almost Heaven, West Virginia apart from the rest of the world.”
Inspired by John Denver’s song, “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” the renowned anthem is an ode to the Mountain State’s natural beauty and warm hospitality. Since its launch in 2018, the Almost Heaven campaign has captured hearts worldwide, quickly becoming a globally recognized brand. The signature marks have been displayed on billboards, bus wraps, digital advertisements, print placements and television spots across the country. West Virginia State Parks have been selling official Tourism merchandise for several years, and today’s announcement represents yet another step forward for the brand.
