On Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at approximately 11 a.m., EMS personnel were dispatched to a residence near White Sulphur Springs for an unresponsive two-month-old infant. The child was subsequently flown to an out of state medical facility. On Tuesday, Sept. 5, the child died.
A lengthy investigation conducted by West Virginia Child Protective Services and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department ensued. That investigation would ultimately culminate in an arrest.
On Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, Shane Lee Dolin, 25, of White Sulphur Springs, was arrested and charged with Child Abuse Causing Death. Dolin was arraigned before a Greenbrier County Magistrate and incarcerated in the Southern Regional Jail.
