With the addition of ramps at the west side entrance to the main sanctuary and to the parish hall, also on the west side, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on US 60 West across from The Greenbrier Hotel Clinic is now fully accessible by handicapped worshipers.
Knights of Columbus member George “Mike” McIntire, Handicap Compliance Officer for the City of White Sulphur Springs, with the support of the Lynch Construction Company and the Greenbrier Valley Knights of Columbus, arranged and helped design the ramps which are adjacent to the parking areas nearest the Church.
“This project’s completion will allow the handicapped to enter the sanctuary for worship and the parish hall for socials and meeting with little or no assistance,” McIntire concluded.
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church is located at 40798 Midland Trail East on the west entrance to the City of White Sulphur Springs and serves the Catholic community of eastern Greenbrier County, western Alleghany County, VA, and northeast Monroe County including visitors to The Greenbrier resort and Greenbrier Sporting Club residents.
