The drawings for the two golf packages being raffled off as fund raisers for the GEHS and EGMS golf teams were held on July 8 at the Lewisburg Elk’s Golf Course. The GEHS golf team offered a golf package for 4 plus carts to the Old White Golf Course where the recent Greenbrier Classic was played at The Greenbrier Hotel. The EGMS team offered a golf package for 4 plus carts to The Sporting Club at The Snead Course.
Winner of the Old White package was Opie McKinney who is the Middle School Golf Coach at Princeton. Winner of the Snead package was Ben Lewis of Lewisburg and Bill Lewis Motors.

Coach Mac Parks and Coach Terry Koon believe that the golf teams for GEHS and EGMS will have great seasons this coming school year. GEHS golf tryouts start on Monday, Aug. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. at The Riverview Golf Driving Range owned by Dina Gessie and Ron Reed in Caldwell. Physicals for players are required within the last three months.
