Northern Greenbrier Clinic, Inc. needed a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED). AED’s are used to shock the heart back into normal rhythm. The AED, once attached to the patient will analyze the heart rhythm and determine if the rhythm is shock able or non-shock able.
The existing AED needed replacement pads, but the pads for the existing AED were no longer being manufactured. The new AED has a one piece chest pad instead of two smaller pads. The new AED also has the capability to let the person performing CPR know whether or not the chest compressions are adequate.
