The corned beef and cabbage dinner recently held by the Williamsburg Food Pantry was a success. The food pantry thanks everyone who rolled up their sleeves and pitched in to help raise the much needed funds.
The Williamsburg Food Pantry is a volunteer organization, and they do have to earn some money to pay for all the shipping costs involved. They would like to thank The Greenbrier Employees United Way for their generous donation and The Modern Woodmen for their matching fund donation. All gifts to the cause of feeding the hungry in the Williamsburg area are greatly appreciated. Mona Workman, Shelby Cremeans and Litz Jarvis are the type of people who step in when help is needed. They truly are thankful for everything they did to pull this dinner together.
If you would like to make a donation, send your check to Williamsburg Food Pantry, P.O. Box 153, Williamsburg, WV 24991, Attn: Debra Zahorenko. The food pantry holds a produce distribution every Monday at 12 noon. Feel free to bring any food gifts at that time to the community building in Williamsburg.
