Did you know there are five verses in the National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner? The Williamsburg CEOS Club learned the history of our national anthem and the flag that inspired it from the WVU Extension Service lesson presented by club member Blanche Knicely at their November meeting.
Members participating include Barbara Deeds, Laura Rose, Laura Ann Tiller, Cassandria Perkins, Burl and Patty Post, Loretta Shirley and Linda Spencer.
Members also brought pajamas and slippers which were donated to the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home in Rupert which is one of many community service projects the club is involved with. Each month the members also send cards and copies of the monthly programs to shut-ins.
