On June 11, at the Williamsburg Historical Foundation Museum, the Williamsburg CEOS Club celebrated reaching their 2023 goals. Those participating include Loretta Shirley, Linda Spencer, Blanche Knicely, Cassandria Perkins and LauraAnn Tiller.
The club was recognized for their 2023 achievements at the yearly county Achievement Day which was held at The Union Hall in White Sulphur Springs on May 16. The club received recognition for their members’ volunteer community services of 1,000 total hours in 2023.
The club will meet on Tuesday, July 9, beginning at noon, at the Williamsburg Historical Museum. The lesson for this meeting will be Teaching Appalachian Heritage Cooking to Children II. Part two: A fun way to teach children about our Appalachian heritage is to make traditional recipes together and talk about the connection with history, family and the community.
