The Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS)/WVU Extension Club gathered at the Dutch Haus Restaurant on Tuesday, Dec. 10 for their monthly meeting.
Members were reminded of the lesson Sensational Soup as each received jars of homemade instant potato soup. Each member also received jars of apple butter which is a sample of “Appalachian Products We Love,” the lesson that will be shared at the club’s March meeting.
The club’s service project this fall includes donating Christmas presents to the children at the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home.
Each member also received a Poinsettia to brighten their homes this winter.
Due to weather conditions in the months of January and February the club will not be gathering together in person but they will continue to be active in the many opportunities offered in the community and through the WVU Extension Service such as Purposeful Reading-Reading With a Purpose, and preparing for the Creative Writing Contest, and Poetry Contest (information may be found on the https://pm extension.wvu.edu/community-business-safety/community-educational-outreach-service#members website).
