1944 – 2020

Caldwell-William “Bill” Grady Bowyer, 75, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020, following a sudden illness.

He was born Dec. 22, 1944, in Charmco. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Mary Alice Crowe, and a sister, Bonnie Grimmett.

Prior to retirement, he was a Millwright at Westvaco in Covington, VA, for 38 years.  He loved the outdoors and will be remembered for his incredibly generous heart, loyalty and love for his family and friends.

Bill is survived by a son, Steve (Melisa) Bowyer of Princeton, and a daughter, Doris (Marvin) Ramsey of Caldwell; brother, Carlos (June) Bowyer, of Rupert; two sisters, Patsy (Danny) Sanford of Clintonville, and Betty Rahmati of Scott Depot; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In this time of quarantine, the family extends its gratitude for many gestures of love, friendship, and support. We look forward to celebrating Bill’s life together at a future date.
