William Edward “Eddie” Zimmerman, 71, of Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born Aug. 13, 1953, in Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Margaret Helen Judy Zimmerman.  

Eddie started his agricultural interest in his childhood. As a child he followed his father working on the crew at Shawnee Farms. Later he also worked for Ralph Warren at the War-Lew Farm.

He enjoyed working with draft horses for Bedford Hinkle and W.T. “Bill” Reynolds and son.

Eddie retired from the City of Lewisburg after 41 years of service. He had been the longest serving employee of the city. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tresa Lynn Zimmerman Lette.

He is survived by many close friends and extended family.

Funeral service will be at 12 noon, Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at the Clifton Presbyterian Church, Maxwelton, WV, with Pastor Ron Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
