Clintonville-William D. Harvey, 86, passed away May 6, 2016, at Memorial Division of CAMC in Charleston.
Born in Asbury on June 3, 1929, he was a son of the late Merlin Dewey Harvey and Mae Henson Harvey.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Harvey and a sister, Betty Breland.
Mr. Harvey was a truck driver having worked in both construction and petroleum transporting. He was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the James Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Ima Jean Loudermilk Harvey; son, Randy Harvey and wife of Debbie of Lewisburg; sisters, Hattie Christian of Frankford and Faye Yates of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Jennifer Hedrick and Valerie Jordan; step-grandchildren, Jessica Hammack and Tiffany Lee; great-grandchildren, Madison Carter, Caylea Carter, Jamison Sizemore and Jackie Sizemore; step-great-grandchildren, Jayce Hammack, Jordan Hammack, Josslyn Hammack and Poppy Lee.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 12, at James Chapel United Methodist Church in Clintonville where Pastor Sam Haught and Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiated. Burial was in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Visitation was Wednesday evening, May 11, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Harvey’s memory to James Chapel United Methodist Church.
