William Casey Brainard, 63, of Quinwood, WV and Alva, Florida passed away on September 27, 2024, with his loving wife by his side after a long battle with cancer.
Casey was a loving and devoted husband, hard worker, amazing grandfather, and loved by all. He was proud of his service as a United States Marine. He was the type of man to look up to and one who would do anything he could for anyone.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Billye Sue Biddle; father, Robert George Brainard; (step) mom, Mary; brother, Kelley Brainard; daughter, Denise Bayless; and nephew, Duston Summey.
Casey is survived and missed greatly by his loving wife, Ruthie Brainard; sisters, Candy Sumey, and Robin Thompson; sons, Allen (Melinda) Bayless, and Paul (Kendall) Craycraft; and grandchildren, Christina (Drew Wolfe) Skunza, Jeffrey (Jenn) Wood, Cassie (David) Daubitz, Jacob Wood, Emilie (Aubrie) Brown, Justin Wood, Elizabeth (Micha) Baisden, Melina Bayless, Paul Craycraft III, Brailynn Craycraft, carter Craycraft, and Talitha Craycraft; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews, and several other family members and friends.
Casey will be remembered as the amazing man he was and will live on through us all.
