White Sulphur Springs-Wilbur Curtis Arnold, Sr., 76, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.
Wilbur and his twin brother William were born to the late William and Anna Mae Raspberry Arnold on Aug. 12, 1939, in Xenia, Ohio.
Wilbur was a lively spirit who was loved by many. He had a passion for old fashioned cars, the blues, and westerns, He retired from The Greenbrier after 30 years as a houseman.
In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by his twin brother, William who died at birth; sisters, Christina Cardwell and Geraldine Ward; and brother, Vernon.
He is survived by: his wife, Deloris Ann Arnold; brothers, Richard “T Bone” Arnold and wife Velma and Benny Arnold; daughter, Nannette Arnold; sons, Wilbur Arnold, Jr., Michael Arnold and wife Alejandra, John Arnold and wife Heather and Tony White; six granddaughters, Tasha Arnold, Kristina Ward and husband Chad Ward, Jaqueia Dickerson, Jasmine Arnold, Desiree Arnold and Aryadna Arnold; two great-grandchildren, Colton Ward and Leonidas Hutcheson; and five nephews, Michael Jackson, Douglas Cardwell, Barry Cardwell, C. J. Arnold and Aaron Arnold.
Visitation was held Thursday evening, Oct. 22, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. His body will be cremated following the visitation.
