Lion Connie McMichael recently received a very special award at the Annual District 29-C Lions Conference at Pipestem Resort. She was presented the International President’s Award which is the second highest award in Lionism. It is awarded by the International President to Lions who have shown a significant level of commitment to the principals of Lions and outstanding contributions in the world of service beyond the club and district levels.
Past District Governor McMichael has been a member of the White Sulphur Springs Lions Club since 2001 and is currently Club President, District Centennial Service Challenge Chair, and Multiple District LCIF Chairperson. She has served as Treasurer, Tail Twister, Board Member, and a previous term as President of the club. She has also served on the District-N Cabinet in many capacities as well as Cabinet Secretary in 2008-09. She was District Governor in 2011-12.
