Greenbrier County’s newest jobs readiness center is open in Rainelle! The Valley Works Resource Center helps with resume writing, obtaining IDs, connecting with employers, and interview coaching – along with work-ready clothing, shoes and safety equipment. Additionally, the center is building a drop-in center to provide hot meals, shower facilities, a warming center and serve as a food pantry.
Valley Works Resource Center operates under a two-year ARC grant received by God’s Way Home. Assistant Director Dara Vance states the center’s goals are to “reduce the barriers to employment while also reducing substance use.” The center is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and by appointment on Thursdays and Saturdays.
