Virginia Mae Harvey
Lewisburg-Virginia Mae Harvey, 93, died Tuesday, Nov. 4; 2014, after a short illness.
She wa born Jan. 25, 1921, in Asbury to the late Luther Coe and Mamie Brae Dosier.
Mrs. Harvey attended Asbury School, was a homemaker and worked for the Department of Mental Health. Mrs. Harvey was the oldest member of the West Point Baptist Church in Asbury. She will be especially remembered for her love and devotion to her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: daughter, Doris (Dana) Godby of Lewisburg; son, Richard (Darcas) Zicafoose of Logansport, IN; daughter, Ginger Blackburn of Lewisburg; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth (Bill) Keesling of Anderson, IN; 14 grandchildren, Ann Browder, Bonnie (Chuck) Meredith, Keith (Misty) Zicafoose, Samantha Harry, Mandy (Shawn) Dickey, Diana (Steve) Morgan, Marty (Karen) Godby, Brian (Michelle) Zicafoose, Michele Blackburn, Christopher Blackburn, Cindy (Rusty) Walters, Cheryl (Gregg) Ladd, Connie (Kevin) McCarthy and Bettia (Trent) Titus; 24 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by: husbands, Godfrey Deckard Zicafoose, Harold “Dumpy” Morgan and Frank Harvey; parents, Luther Coe and Mamie Brae Dosier; sisters, Azeal (Joe) LaFountain, Mildred (Richard) Fisher, Jocie (Vernon) Harrah and Margie (Bill) Friend; brothers, Luther Coe “L.C.” (Eugie) Dosier, Wesley (Freck) Dosier, Austin (Mary) Dosier and Robert (Annita) Dosier; and beloved son, Deckard Lee Zicafoose of Anderson, IN.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the West Point Baptist Church in Asbury with Rev. Ron Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Lewisburg, Saturday, Nov. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
