Did you know that for centuries, people in the East have exhibited rocks for their beauty and images of nature that can be found in them? Many travelers return home with a treasured rock as reminder of where they have been and times past. Throughout July we will have a glimpse of this at Nan Morgan’s exhibit at the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitor’s Center in downtown Lewisburg. The reception is Friday, July 6, from 5-8 p.m. Morgan has exhibited at the National Bonsai and Tenjing Museum in the National Arboretum in Washington, DC, and three of her rocks were chosen to be in Thomas Elias’ beautiful book Viewing Stones of North America: A Contemporary Perspective.
