Veronica Mae “Sissy” Taylor, 84, of Victor is now at peace in the arms of her Savior. She died on Jan. 3, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 16, 1940 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clarence Edward Troxell and Helen Smith Troxell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sons, Donnie Wilson, Tommy Taylor and Charlie Taylor; sisters and brothers, Brenda Troxell, Patsy and Bill Hohimier, Clarence Troxell, Jr., Eddie Troxell, Ronald Lee Troxell and wife Carol Ann, grandson, Shawn Bosold.
Veronica’s favorite was baby-sitting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the glue that held her family together. She liked to sit on the porch with Alden and watch the hummingbirds. She was a lifelong member of Church of God, Victor. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters and Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence “Alden” Taylor, Sr.; daughter, Judy Moses; son, Clarence Taylor, Jr., daughter-in-law, Tammy Bowyer; son-in-law, Mark Moses; brothers and sisters, Charles and Ruth Troxell, Johnny Bob Troxell, Carolyn and John Kuklinski, Billy and Bea Troxell, Phyllis Shaw, Wayne Troxell, David and Barb Troxell, Judy Troxell and Terry Troxell. She will be missed greatly by 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Ansted with Pastor Steven Oliver Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
