Andy Pendleton, Rainelle’s former longtime mayor, has been elected to serve yet another term as the town’s chief administrator.
“I’m thrilled that I was accepted again, and happy that I’m able to go back to my position as mayor,” Pendleton told RealWV, shortly after the votes were counted. Unofficial results showed Pendleton received 140 votes against incumbent Robin Williams’ 60 votes.
“The whole team has worked really hard,” Pendleton added. “We had the right people with a positive attitude. I’m just overwhelmed. I’m thrilled and honored that I’m able to do this, and I pray that God will help us move forward in a positive way.”
In other Rainelle municipal elections, Bill Bell was elected as the town’s recorder, while Tiffany Crowe, Gary Harris, Amanda Sue Hunter, David Spencer, and Martha Levisy were elected to town council positions.
