Twelve West Virginia business professionals were named as recipients of the Young Gun award by West Virginia Executive magazine.
The inductees of the Young Guns Class of 2014 were: Jessica Alsop, Jackson Kelly PLLC; Maribeth Anderson, Chesapeake Energy; Katherine Bomkamp, Katherine Bomkamp International; Bob Contraguerro, Jr., Tom Contraguerro and Josh Contraguerro, Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration; Paul Daugherty, Philanthropy West Virginia; Scott Freshwater, Contractor Services Inc. of West Virginia and Reserve Oil & Gas, Inc.; Mike Green, Custom Business Solutions, Premier Construction Inc. and West Virginia State Senator; Chad Mildren, United Bank; Angie Swearingen, St. Mary’s Medical Center and Bobby Warner, Warner Law Offices.
The Young Guns received their awards at the annual Young Guns reception held at the Governor’s Mansion in Charleston on Nov. 21. The sponsors for the event were Smith Company Motor Cars, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Dixon Hughes Goodman.
The Young Guns awards were created in 1999 by West Virginia Executive. Each year, a new class of Young Guns is selected, and members are chosen based on the success they have achieved in their industry with special consideration to their community involvement.
