Dear Editor:
I am writing in regard to the string of recent mass shootings in this nation, especially the school shootings. We see everyone from the President on down wringing their hands, not able to find the cause or solution.
But we seem to have forgotten as a nation that June 25th is the 52nd anniversary of the 1962 ruling by the Supreme Court to ban prayer and Bible reading from our public school system. So, along with prayer and Bible reading went God and His principals, including Heaven, Hell, Eternal Life and Eternal Accountability. So we now have an entire generation of young people in this country with no internal moral compass to govern their conduct or decision making, who believe they can go out and commit any heinous act they will, and then all they have to do is put a gun to their head and pull the trigger and all their troubles will be over.
Is it any wonder we are seeing the fulfillment of the Scriptures in this nation. “The wicked shall be turned into Hell and all nations that forget God.”
And please tell me what is more Hell than waiting to see if your child will be one of those killed at school today, or God forbid, the one doing the killing?
Thank you,
Jeff Lyall
