This week Tom Ewing announced the start of his campaign for State Senate in the 10th District. Ewing held an event at Chetty’s Pub in Fayette County with friends, family, and supporters to make his official campaign announcement. The 10th District includes Fayette, Summers, Monroe and Greenbrier counties.
“As a lifelong resident of Fayette County, I am running for State Senate because I want to make a difference in my county, my district and southern West Virginia,” said Tom Ewing. “I am proud to be born, raised, and educated in West Virginia, but I want a better West Virginia for my children and grandchildren.”
Ewing said “West Virginia needs to build on the momentum from the most recent legislative session and continue to move our state forward. We must elect pro-jobs leaders, with fresh and different ideas and the political will to implement policies to improve our state.”
Ewing concluded by saying, “Improving the economy and creating jobs will be my number one priority. Our children deserve a better education and too many families are devastated by drug abuse. There is a lot of work to do and I hope that I will be able to earn your vote for State Senate so that we can continue to make West Virginia better together.”
