There’s still time to dust off your dancing shoes and plan to come to the “Prom for the Rest of Us” on Saturday, Apr. 18 from 7-10 p.m. at the WVSOM Alumni Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Greenbrier County Committee on Aging and the student Geriatrics Club at WVSOM. Tickets are $15 for a single and $25 for a couple. The music will be from the Big Band era to modern day – all for dancing. Refreshments will be available. Come dressed in your Prom Attire – whatever that is. Residents from the local nursing homes are invited to attend free of cost. If you would like to sponsor a senior or a table with some free tickets please call GCCA at 304-645-1978 or 302-392-5138.
The proceeds from this fun event go to the Committee on Aging’s Meals on Wheels and Nutrition for Seniors’ programs. These programs have faced cutbacks recently and funds raised will go to keep these important programs for seniors at current levels. We look forward to a fun evening and hope all can join us.
