Thelma Marie Weikle

Ronceverte-Thelma Marie Weikle, 88, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Mar. 12, 2020.

Born Jan. 31, 1932, at Ronceverte, she was a daughter of the late Kester Stewart and Inez Ethel Weikle Holliday.

Thelma was a member of New Covenant Sanctuary in Fairlea and attended Rhema Christian Center. She loved crossword puzzles, long walks, watching game shows, playing bingo and taking vacations. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paulmer Weikle, Jr.; sister, Freda Johnson; brothers, Charles and Marco Holliday; and son-in-law, John D. Humphreys.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda J. Lemon and Patricia Humphreys; sons, Matthew Weikle (Bertha) and David Weikle (Paula), all of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Deborah Parker, Melanie Bair, Ginna Lemon, George Lemon, II, Nathaniel Weikle, Mitchell Weikle and Jonathan Humphreys; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Elwood Holliday of Fairlea and Sam Holliday of White Sulphur Springs.

Funeral service was on Sunday, Mar. 15, at Rhema Christian Center, Lewisburg, where Pastor Stewart Farley officiated. Interment followed in Adwell Cemetery, Ronceverte.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.

Pallbearers were Nathaniel Weikle, Mitchell Weikle, Jonathan Humphreys, Mac Bair, George Lemon, II, and George “G.P.” Parker.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte is in charge of arrangements.
