Thelma Grace McMillion, 70, of Williamsburg, WV, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, with family members by her side. Born June 12, 1953, in Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late Paul Walker and Lorene Irene Zahn McMillion.
Thelma attended Williamsburg High School and graduated from Greenbrier East High School Class of 1971. She attended McMillion United Methodist Church, was a member of the Williamsburg Volunteer Rescue Squad serving 22 years as secretary/treasurer. Thelma was a charter member of the GFWV Williamsburg Junior Women’s Club, later serving all offices in that club and GFWCWV Rupert Women’s Club. She served two years as GFWCWV Southern District President. Thelma also served as GFWCWV International Chairman. She enjoyed genealogy, scrapbooking and attending square dances.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenna W. and Rachel Jackson McMillion and John W. and Emellia Depner Zahn.
Survivors include her lifelong partner of 49 years, James “Jimmy” Spencer, foster son, Clyde Lyons all of Williamsburg, WV, several cousins and many friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 29, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, with Pastor Jesse Pope officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service, Thursday, in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery.
