For more information about the CEOS and a review of the CEOS lessons please check the WVU Extension Family and Community Development website or call the WVU Greenbrier County Extension Office at 304-647-7408.

Restore and Renew what? Well, that is what hostess Blanche Knicely shared with the members of the Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Club (CEOS) at their November meeting with the WVU Extension Service lesson, “Restoring and Refinishing Furniture.”

Members explored a few different levels of ease in restoring furniture. From a quick clean up to make it usable, but “antique;” to chalk paint; to full on restoration. Blanche had many pieces of furniture restored by her husband Casey and items that many had never heard of before like “a pie safe!” All were inspired to find ways to keep furniture rather than throwing them away.

Those participating include Cassandria Perkins, Loretta Shirley, Lyne Jones, Linda Spencer and LauraAnn Tiller. The club is also excited and proud to acknowledge members Linda Spencer as the 2025 Greenbrier County CEOS President and LauraAnn Tiller as the County CEOS Vice-President.

The club will meet at the Dutch Haus on Dec. 10 for their next meeting. Christmas gifts for the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home will be collected.
