Because Ivy Terrace is a summertime favorite in Lewisburg, on Thursday, Aug. 1, the evening before the 2nd Annual Literary Festival, all are invited to enjoy another free concert event on the lawn at Carnegie Hall. The Weight will perform at 6:30 p.m.
Grassroots American rock, The Weight has recently risen to the forefront of the modern Americana scene. Fronted by hard-rocking violinist Adam DeGraff (The Dueling Fiddlers and Pianafiddle) and vocal powerhouse and pianist Morgan Cornwell (Greenbrier’s Got Country Class finalist), their impressive musicality and bold approach to live performance have generated widespread acclaim around the U.S. and beyond. Backed by musical heavyweights, Billy Ayres (ExZeudus) on drums and Dan Lively (Sweet Cicada) on bass guitar, The Weight delivers an innovative synthesis of bluegrass, Southern rock and indie-folk that is guaranteed to break your heart and bring you to your feet in the same measure. {{more}}
This special Ivy Terrace is brought to you by Allyson and Mark Liebendorfer of Country Vintner.
