In loving memory of Susan M. Lueck-Redden. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, who peacefully went to be with her heavenly family on Aug. 31, 2025, at 7 a.m. in Charleston, WV. Susan was born on Sept. 11, 1946, in Detroit, MI.

Susan is preceded in death by her mother Frances Lueck, West Palm Beach, FL; grandmother: Nana (Gladys Savage); sister Linda Lueck, West Palm Beach, FL; former husband William C. Doering of Riviera Beach, FL; father Carlton Lueck Sr., Jacksonville, FL; aunt Marge Martyniak, Jacksonville, FL; late husband Harrison Redden, Meadow Bridge, WV; and Barbara and Eddie Brown of West Palm Beach, FL.

She is survived by her son Robert W. Doering, Meadow Bridge; daughter Pamela Frances Doering, Meadow Bridge; stepson Joseph J. Doering, Meadow Bridge; grandchildren Diana M. Porter and Spencer C. Porter both of Rupert; Brothers; Carlton Lueck, Jr. and wife Donna, Jupiter, FL, David Lueck and wife Bonnie, Jacksonville, FL; sister; Beverly Bousquet and husband Larry, Okeechobee, FL; and a very near and dear friend Melissa Lilly of Meadow Bridge, WV.

Susan was an accomplished instructor in diving and firearms (Rifle). She found joy and love for these after marrying William Doering after they met at Solitron Manufacturing in Riviera Beach, FL. The ocean became their second home, spending much time on their boat, the Dirty Bird. Her family tree dates to the second sailing of the Mayflower, The Vaness Family.

Military service runs deep in the family. Her mother and father both served in WWII. Grandpa was on Normandy Beach and grandma drove fueling trucks. William Doering proudly served in the Coast Guard. Harrison Redden served in the Marines. Marty Martyniak served in the Navy. Robert Doering also served in the Navy and was deployed During Desert Storm.

Our mother was one of the most loving and caring individuals you could ever wish to know. She was always there for everyone she met. She would guide you, steady you and always fight for you. There wasn’t much she didn’t know, seemed to always have the right answers. She truly enjoyed life to the fullest whether it be sledding on a hood, riding four-wheelers through the woods or hunting deer she took in every opportunity to live life. She left us way too soon, leaving us all with a broken heart and a huge void. R.I.P. Momma, till we meet again.

With love and remembrance from all of us that your light, energy and love has touched.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public service. Smathers Funeral Chapel is honored to have cared for Susan and her family during their great time of need.

Online condolences may be made at www.smathersfuneralchapelinc.com
