New River Community and Technical College is offering an eight-week summer welding course on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 p.m. starting on May 24 at the Greenbrier Valley Campus Welding Shop, 789 Houfnaggle Road, Lewisburg.
The class will allow students to improve in skill levels of Oxy-Fuel and welding in MIG, TIG or Stick. The course will also cover some machining (i.e. drill press and lathes). Personal protective equipment is required. The cost is $350.
The class is open to those wanting to learn a new skill or improve their skills. Students interested in the course must pre-register by May 18.
