Trillium Performing Arts invites you to start your 2014 off right at the first Friday Night Alive! of the new year.
Join us Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. live at the Lewis Theatre for an exciting showcase of local music, dance and more! This month, we have an enchanting balance of new and old, featuring some of your favorite returning artists as well as some brand new acts.
FNA! veteran, Tom Ball will be gracing the event with a mixture of classical and jazz guitar and will be joined later by Samara Michaelson for an improv musical dance piece. No sooner do we find ourselves in the moment, than we will suddenly traverse hundreds of years with sisters Nikalee Turner and Emma Foster who will be performing a traditional Nepali dance dressed in conventional costumes.
Then, you may have seen her in Trillium concerts past, but for the first time ever Revanna Preston will be performing original songs on The Lewis stage. You may also know musicians Russell Fallstad, Blair Hicks and Josie Martin from past events, but don’t miss their premiere as a musical group so new it isn’t even named yet.
Rounding out the show, Shane Roper will be singing “Misty Mountains” from The Hobbit. Following a second solo by Ali Montgomery, the two young and talented vocalists will sing a final duet.
Want to know what other performances we have in store? You’ll have to come find out. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students and AmeriCorps members and free for children under six.
