Sprouting Farms is a nonprofit organization that strives to support our local food system through community, equity, and innovation.
The Sprouting Farms’ crew invites you to attend our next Community Day event at the Graham House, down the road from the farm, where we will have a Halloween Bash on Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Graham House is our local haunted home located at WV-12, Pence Springs, WV.
Our mobile farmers market will be set up inside the house with produce and products from our production crew, our incubator farmers (who are renting land on the farm for their own farm businesses), and other local growers and producers. Also, craft vendors will be set up outside the house selling their handmade items.
Inside, we will have hot chocolate, hot apple cider, a candy apple making bar, beef stew, and potato soup available throughout the day. The beef stew and potato soup will be brought to you by our incubator farmer Tammy, with Crazy Critter Farm. All the food proceeds will go towards Tammy’s family as they prepare Tammy’s granddaughter for a liver transplant surgery.
There will also be pumpkin carving, and a kids’ costume contest at 3 p.m., where the grand prize will be $100 donated by Johnny from Archer Acres Farm (one of our incubator farmers).
