A special Mass celebrating the observance of All Saints and All Souls Days will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Springdale, in Fayette County, on Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m. and the public is invited.

The oldest Catholic church building in Fayette County still in use, Sacred Heart Church at Springdale is located off the Springdale-Smoot Road and can also be reached taking the Dawson exit on I-64.

With Mass celebrated only on Oct. 29 and on the Sundays of Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends at the church in Springdale, all other regularly scheduled services are celebrated at the Sacred Heart Church in Rainelle.

Father Rey Landicho, pastor of St. Patrick’s Church in Hinton and Sacred Heart Church, Rainelle, will be the celebrant for the special Oct. 29 Mass.

A social will follow the Mass.
