The scent of lilac is in the air, and it’s Second Saturday again at Lee Street Studios. As always, we have a big day planned!
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the ladies in Studio 2 will be teaching the Broomstick Lace crochet stitch. Learn this exotic, lacy stitch and begin a cowl or new scarf for your mother (or yourself!). The class fee is $25, which includes yarn, a pattern, and a broomstick needle for use during the class.
At 11:15 a.m. join us in watching stunning art videos by Bruce and Jeanne Brenneman. Jeanne sees the most beautiful images in everyday life, whether it’s outside her kitchen window or in the hills of Yosemite. She puts her images to music and creates short films for all to enjoy.
At 1 p.m. ceramic artist Sean O’Connell will share his secrets upstairs in Studio 10, then at 2 p.m. there will be a woodturning demonstration in the WV Woodturners Association studio downstairs.
Whether you come to hang out for the day, or are only able to catch a quick demo, be sure to stop in the Honor Roll Gallery to take in the new exhibit, Art Quotidien. Sara McDonald and Anna Stout-Tuckwiller of Studio 9 have outdone themselves with their newest paintings, and we are thrilled to be showing them off all month. You may even find just the right Mother’s Day gift!
