Explore the dark ghosts of the Hospitality House, while supporting its mission, during the Alderson Hospital O’ Horrors! Haunted house tours will run Tuesday, Oct. 28, Wednesday, Oct. 29 and Thursday, Oct. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Alderson Hospitality House. This year’s haunted tour draws inspiration from the house’s history as a hospital in the 1920s, and will feature a creepy morgue, early 20th century amputation tent, psych ward and other terrifying scenes. Suggested donations are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. There will also be free baby-sitting in the park in front of the house, with cookie decorating, a spooky jungle gym and other fun activities appropriate for all ages. Groups are welcomed.
All proceeds go towards the operation of the house, which has served over 50,000 visitors of the incarcerated of the Alderson Federal Prison Camp since 1977. The Alderson Hospitality House is located at 203 High Street in Alderson.
