Alderson – Sandra Kay Parker Brown, 53, left her earthly home for her home in Heaven Wednesday, Mar. 6, 2019, following an extended illness.
Born July 31, 1965, at Union, she was the daughter of Josephine Kountz Parker and the late Percy Raymond Parker.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father; brother, Russell Coe Parker; sister, Catherine Ellen Parker; and grandparents, Aubrey Russell and Ethel McClelland Kountz and Bern Coe and Cora Weikle Parker.
Survivors include her mother of Marion Station, Maryland; sisters, Frances Keohane (Sean), Marion Station, MD; Jane Sykes (David) Clintonville, Deborah Parker, Alderson, Alma Grubb (George), Union, and Shirley Parker (Jack Keaton), Alderson; niece, Lindsey Sykes; and nephews, David Lively, Jared Sykes and Ryan Keohane.
Sandra graduated from Union High School in 1983 and was a long-time resident of Maryland returning to her native state in 2013. At the time of her death she was employed at United Technologies Corporation.
Sandra donated her body to the Human Gift Registry at WVSOM. A celebration of her life is planned for later this summer.
