The Rupert Public Library will hold an Art Show Apr. 29 and 30. The show will begin with a reception on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
There will be live entertainment provided by The Goodson Boys while you enjoy viewing the art entries and enjoy food prepared by the Friends of the Library. The West Virginia Woodturners Association will have on display several of their beautiful handmade wood pieces. The show will be open for viewing Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All artists working in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed media and drawing are invited to submit up to three items to be displayed and judged. First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded. There will also be monetary awards for Best of Show and People’s Choice.
If you wish to show your work you can pick up an entry form at the library or call 304-392-6158 to have a form mailed to you. You may bring your work to be entered Thursday, Apr. 28, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. All entries are to be framed with a wire hanger. Please, no alligator or zigzag hangers. Bring your entry and release of liability form. When you bring your work to the library, and when you pick it up, you will need to present a photo ID. There will be a $5 fee for each art entry. All entries are to remain in the show until closing Saturday, even if sold.
The library staff, the library board of trustees, and the Friends of the Library invite you to enjoy the festivities.
