The detour on Rt. 219 South in Fairlea went into effect Tuesday. As of Wednesday afternoon, the old pedestrian overpass at the State Fairgrounds had been demolished, as traffic continues to be diverted for the construction of an underpass connecting the fairgrounds to the parking lot.
