The 6th annual Roy Dean Patterson Memorial 4-H Scholarship was awarded to Maggie Bartenslager of Lewisburg. This scholarship was created in memory of Roy Dean Patterson who was a local masonry contractor in the greater Greenbrier County area for many years. Roy’s integrity, patience, work ethic and love of family were second to none. Those are the values that he stood for and has passed onto his children and grandchildren.
Maggie was chosen out of several applicants because she shares the same strong work ethic, family and life values. She will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500 to assist with her attendance at WVU where she will be majoring in elementary education.
