On Feb. 2nd, the Ronceverte Development Corporation and its Main Street program hosted the Third Annual Super Sunday Party and Fundraiser at the Clifford Recreation and Community Center (Clifford Armory) in Ronceverte.
The event was a fun and unique way to watch the big game with friends and neighbors, while at the same time helping to support the Ronceverte Development Corporation and the Main Street program efforts.
The event was a family-friendly affair with games including cornhole, which was sponsored by Kathy King of Ronceverte, and a Mulitcade arcade unit and a Terminator 2 pinball machine graciously loaned by Robert Johnson of the Ronceverte Arcade. The event also hosted a successful silent auction which contained more than 70 items donated by local businesses and individuals! For the first time, the RDC sponsored a $150 cash-prize for one lucky attendee. This year’s $150 cash-prize winner was Emilee White of Ronceverte.
In addition to the games and prizes, the event had delicious tailgating treats including walking tacos, fresh popped popcorn, and hot dogs with all the fixings. The event was a success, and the RDC would like to thank all of the members of the community that joined us for an evening of fun, food and football!
The event would not have been possible without the support and donations of the community. The RDC and the volunteers of the Super Sunday Planning Committee would like to thank and recognize the following sponsors: Pickering Automotive; Food & Friends; Pizza Hut of Fairlea; Greenbrier Recycling Center; Cecelia’s Bridal and Formal Wear; Top-N-Bottom Thrift; Hair Fantastic Salon; Wiseman’s Floral and Gifts; Greenbrier Cut Flowers; Hersman’s Safety Products; Suzanne Williams from Made-On-A-Shoestring; Edgarton Cafe and Bakery; Kathy King of Edgarton Inn Bed and Breakfast; First National Bank; Ronceverte Feed Store; Gateway Industries; Martin & Jones; Head 2 Toe Innovations Salon and Spa; Robert Johnson of the Ronceverte Arcade; glass artist James Woodson; jewelry designer Lisa Circle; Lowell Rose; Sally Parker; Paul Grist, J.R.
