Lewisburg-Robert Lee Walk, 84, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at home.
Robert was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Wheeling to the late William Jennings Brian and Chloe Stacy Walk.
Mr. Walk was a longtime member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Logan, a Mason of Aracoma Lodge and a member of American Legion Post 69. He was a U.S. Air Force Sergeant during the Korean War and was a coal miner.
Survivors include: his wife, Joyce Boyd Walk of Lewisburg; daughters, Rebecca Kinser and husband Pat of Lewisburg and Connie Marshall and husband JR of Winfield; grandchildren, K. Brian Adkins and wife Dr. Courtney Adkins of Charleston, Staci Banton and husband Sam of Lewisburg, Jane Long of Harrisburg, PA, Kathryn Long and fiance Andy Ryan of Charleston, Lynn Kinser of Logan and Gwen Harless and husband Jonathan of Princeton; great-grandchildren, Charles Patrick, William, Kate and Phoebe Adkins all of Charleston and Robert and Carson Banton of Lewisburg.
The family would like to acknowledge Mr. Walker’s special personal caregiver, Nancy Orozco and express gratitude to Billy McMillion and the staff of Home Health Plus and the loving care given by the staff of HospiceCare.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, where Pastor Roger McDaniel officiated.
There was no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to HospiceCare, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
