Robert C. Byrd Clinic has announced Jim Graeca as its new executive director. Graeca brings more than three decades of healthcare administration experience to the clinic. Graeca will begin his new position at Robert C. Byrd Clinic at the end of March, 2016.
“WVSOM looks forward to working closely with Mr. Graeca. We are excited to have been able to bring aboard someone with Jim’s background and experience as our new Executive Director of the clinic,” said Dr. Michael D. Adelman, D.O., D.P.M., J.D., president of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Graeca has served in an administrative role in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Most recently, he served as director of Emory HealthCare in LaGrange, GA. Emory HealthCare is a 33 physician, multi-specialty group practice outside of Atlanta. Graeca holds a Master of Business Administration from Gannon University in Erie, PA, and is a certified medical practice executive. Graeca stated, “I am very excited for this opportunity at Robert C. Byrd Clinic and WVSOM to work with the physicians, APP and staff to further the transformation of primary care for the people of this community.”
Robert C. Byrd Clinic opened in 1976 as the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine Clinic, Inc. and served as a faculty practice and teaching site for WVSOM students and professors.
