White Sulphur Springs-Robert “Bob” Bostic, 63, longtime resident of White Sulphur Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015.
He was born Sept. 23, 1952, at Alleghany, VA. Bob was the oldest child of Edith Lou and Lanty Watson.
Bob was more of a rambling man moving around a lot in his younger days. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends at Lavern apartments and online. Bob also enjoyed wrestling and nascar, both of which he attended events on various occasions.
Bob was preceded in death by his mom, Edith Lou Watson.
Survivors include his dad, Lanty Watson; and three sisters, Belinda Scott (Ronnie) of White Sulphur Springs, Annamae Watson Peltier (Bing) of Lewisburg, and Cindy Watson Hoke of White Sulphur Springs.
His final request was to be cremated and have his ashes spread near his childhood home near Jerry’s Run, VA. This was where he had some of his fondest memories; running, fishing, and playing with his childhood friends and young uncles, Bubby (Harold) Maupin and J. D. Maupin.
The family cordially invites his friends and family to the home of Belinda Scott on Mill Hill Drive, White Sulphur Springs, on Saturday, Oct. 17, for a celebration of Bob’s life from 12 noon to 3 p.m.
Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, is serving the family.
