Rickie Carl Legg

Fairlea-Rickie “Rick” Carl Legg, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Rick was born July 17, 1959, in Ronceverte and was the son of Norma Heaster Legg of Lewisburg and the late William H. Legg.

Rick was a 1977 graduate of Greenbrier East High School and was recently retired from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways where he worked as a crane operator. He enjoyed hunting, boating and entertaining friends, but most of all being Pawpaw to his very special “grandson,” Jameson, whom he adored.

Surviving are: his mother; sister, Terry Bare and husband Dudley of Ronceverte; companion, Cora Hunter of Fairlea; her son, Aaron and wife Amber their children Chase and Jameson all of Lewisburg; Cora’s daughter, Juli of Squaw Valley, CA; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and numerous friends.

Rick’s funeral service will be on Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Brent Gragg officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.

The family received their family and friends Thursday evening, Jan. 29 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
